About La Pitchoune

La Pitchoune is a detached property set in its own gardens, bordered by a cascading stream, nestling in the Mediterranean foothills of the Montagnes Noires on the edge of the small village of Boisset with magnificent views over the surrounding hillsides and probably some of the best air in Europe.

This is a place truly for nature lovers – those who want a private, peaceful retreat, or those who want to combine the commercialism and the crowds of the Mediterranean beaches (only one hour away), with the ability to get away from it all, to a place where nightingales sing in the evening, where eagles fly and where wild boars forage close by at night.

We, the owners, live in the village. There is no commerce in the village but shops and supermarkets are within easy driving distance.

Mobile phones don’t work in the village, but they do work a short distance away and there is a  public phone in Boisset.
